Kings' Valley
Welcome Tourist history tour, showing history of Lower Silesia and presenting the monuments of the region, with particular reference to the Jelenia Gora Valley arising from its residences build in the nineteenth century, commonly known as the Kings’ Valley. We start it in the border city of Goerlitz, but it may well begin in Wroclaw or Prague.
Day 1
Arrival in Goerlitz. Guided walking city tour. Old Town, Schonhof, the oldest Renaissance building in the city, the cathedral Peter and Paul church. Coach drive to Karkonosze Mountains. Dinner and overnight stay in Cieplice, a spa district of Jelenia Gora town.
Day 2
Full day tour of the Valley of the Kings. Visit of Lomnica and Wojanow Palaces, and the former residence of the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm III in Myslakowice. Here also the church, project of Karl Friedrich Schinkel and unique houses which belonged in the past to immigrants from Tirol. Than drive to Jagniatkow and visiting "Meadow Stone" Gerhard Hauptmann the Noblist house, with a beautiful Avenarius painting adorning the staircase. The last points to visit the palaces in Staniszow and main Schaffgotsch noble men residence, the palace in Cieplice, where is now a local branch of the Technical University Wroclaw. Lunch on the way in village restaurant. In the evening dinner with music for dancing.
Day 3
Transfer by coach to Ksiaz and visit the the largest prince castle in the Lower Silesia, which belonged in the past to von Hochberg family. Walk to the National Stallion stud Ksiaz and visit with the horses and carriage collection. The lunch after, drive to Wroclaw for dinner and overnight. Opera evening. The performance after, dinner on your own in one of the numerous Old Town restaurants.
Day 4
Wroclaw sightseeing. Cathedral Island, Centennial Hall, the old areas of architectural exhibition WU-WA (1928), University and its famous Leopoldina Hall, Market Square with Town Hall, Salt Square. The lunch after, drive to Sroda Slaska and visit the regional museum with the famous Sroda Treasury. Drive to Goerlitz or other place.
